Madonna to meet Mandela: report
font size

The world famous pop star Madonna will meet the former South African president Nelson Mandela in the coming week, South African media reported on Saturday.

Citing the Sunday Times newspaper due out on Sunday, the South African Press Association said Madonna will meet her hero on Friday while visiting South Africa.

During the trip, Madonna will return to Malawi to continue her charity work there, said the report.

However, she denied reports that she wants to adopt another child.

Madonna, 48, caused a storm last year when she went to Malawi to adopt a one-year-old boy, David Banda.

Adoption groups accused her of using her celebrity status to bypass laws about foreigners adopting from the poor African country.
