The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) rose 11.26 points at a new record high of 1, 532.04 on Monday.

The volume of KOSPI was moderate at 455.8 million shares worth 4.06 trillion won (4.37 billion U.S. dollars).

The local currency finished at 931.8 won to one U.S. dollar, down 2.6 won from Friday's close.
