Volkswagen China's first-quarter sales exceed 200,000

The Volkswagen Group set another sales record in the first quarter of 2007, with sales increasing 23% to hit 202,600 in China, including Hong Kong and Macao. Sales of Volkswagen brand vehicles reached 178,100 (including 1483 imports), up 22.5% on the same period of last year, while sales of Audis reached 24,323 (including 1749 imports cars), up 27% from the same period of last year. The Volkswagen Group (China) is expected to reach all its first quarter targets, which are much higher than those in the same period of last year.
