The local stock market set a new all-time high here on Tuesday led by gains on major energy shares.
The benchmark Kuala Lumpur Composite Index ended the day 7.35 points higher at 1,330.26.
The Composite Index had marked an all-time closing high of 1, 322.91 on Monday, breaking the previous record of 1,314.46 posted on Jan 5,1994.
The Second Board Index shed 0.39 of a point to 102.22 and the Mesdaq Index eased 0.92 of a point to 141.11.
The Emas advanced 25.88 points to 8,909.36.
Losers led gainers by 606 to 320, with 264 other counters unchanged, 190 untraded and 33 suspended.
Turnover was at 2.16 billion shares worth 3.19 billion ringgit (911.42 million U.S.dollars), up from 2.03 billion shares worth 2. 62 billion ringgit (748.57 million U.S.dollars) on Monday.
