Chinese State Councilor meets with Cuban, Hungarian FMs

Chinese State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan met with Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs Felipe Ramon Perez Roque and Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Goncz Kinga respectively in Beijing on Tuesday.

When meeting with Perez, Tang called on the two countries to maintain high-level exchanges, enhance mutual trust, deepen bilateral trade and economic cooperation, strengthen coordination in multilateral affairs and expand cultural and people-to-people exchanges, so as to promote the bilateral friendly relations.

Perez said China is playing an important role in international and regional affairs. Cuba highly values its friendly cooperation with China and appreciates China's supports to Cuba's economic and social development.

He said the two countries share broad prospect of cooperation, and that Cuba will strengthen dialogue with China and further push forward bilateral friendly relations.

When meeting with Goncz, Tang said China values its traditional friendship with Hungary and is willing to work with it to strengthen cooperation in various fields including political consultation, trade, culture and education, technology and tourism.

Goncz said the Hungarian government appreciates China's active role in international affairs, and is willing to enhance bilateral cooperation with China in all fields.

She also stressed that Hungary will firmly abide by the one-China policy.
