CPC envoy leaves for Italy, Australia

Representative of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Zhang Zhijun left Beijing Wednesday for a visit to Italy and Australia.

Zhang, deputy head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, will attend the national congresses of Italy's Democratic Party of the Left and the Daisy Party, and the Australian Labour Party, at the invitation of the three parties.

The three sessions are scheduled in Rome during April 19-21, in Florence during April 20-22, and in Sydney during April 27-30, respectively.
