BFA not to become show of contract-signing ceremonies
font size

The Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) will not become a show of contract-signing ceremonies, a senior BFA official said at a news conference Friday.

BFA, an annual gathering of business and political leaders on China's southern Hainan island, attracts 1,410 guests, including Bill Gates and other 679 business leaders, from 36 countries and regions this year.

The success of the BFA does not necessarily come from contract-signing, said BFA Secretary-General Long Yongtu.

"We do not object that enterprises sign contracts here but it will not become our major job", he said.
