font size

Police have arrested 14 people and seized almost 50 kilograms of narcotics in a raid on a drug-making factory in northwest China's Shaanxi Province.

Police seized 4.33 kilograms, or 43,567 pills, of solid methamphetamine and 44.6 kilograms of powdered methamphetamine, and materials used for making drugs.

The factory was located in a mountainous county in southern Shaanxi and had been operating for just two days with no opportunities to sell its products, said police.

One of those arrested, Liu Cheng'an, admitted that the drug-making materials and equipment were from Shenzhen in south China's Guangzhou Province, said police.

Police are continuing with their investigations.
