font size

Vietnam is estimated to reap export turnovers of over 14.5 billion U.S. dollars in the first four months of this year, a year-on-year rise of 22 percent.

In April alone, the country is set to earn 4 billion dollars from shipping abroad goods, mainly crude oil, coal, textiles and garments, footwear, rice and seafood, local newspaper Investment reported Monday.

The National Assembly of Vietnam, the country's highest legislative body, and the government have recently eyed export revenues of 46.5 billion dollars this year, up from 39.6 billion last year.

However, the Vietnamese Trade Ministry said the figure should be 47.54 billion dollars, including nearly 8.89 billion dollars from exportation of farm products and 19.12 billion dollars from that of industrial items.
