Gu Xiulian, vice chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, on Monday met with a delegation of the National Congress of Chile (NCC).
Led by Senator Sergio Romero, the NCC delegation was here to attend the second political dialogue with their Chinese counterpart.
The dialogue, which took place on Monday morning, was the second of its kind since the NPC and the NCC forged the regular exchange mechanism last year.
Chile was the first Latin American country to set up the regular parliamentary exchange program with China.
The seven-people delegation arrived in Beijing on Saturday. Their week-long visit will also take them to Guangdong, the economically dynamic province in south China.
