Malaysian Minister of International Trade and Industry Rafidah Aziz will lead a trade mission to visit three cities in China next month, local media reported Wednesday.

The delegation will go on a tour to Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou from May 24 to May 31, the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade) said in a statement.

The Matrade encouraged Malaysian companies to join the mission to explore collaboration opportunities with entities in the three Chinese cities.

"Companies from various sectors such as electrical and electronics, food and beverages, rubber and palm oil products, oil and gas, machinery, household products and automotive parts are welcome," it said.

For the trade mission, the services sector like education, information and communications technology, healthcare, franchise and tourism will also be highlighted, said the Matrade.

Matrade was established on March 1, 1993 as the external trade promotion arm of Malaysia's Ministry of International Trade and Industry. It functions as a focal point for Malaysian exporters and foreign importers to source for trade related information.
