The Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) is to hold the CAN Softech-2007, the country's first software expo, on May 2-5 at the United World Trade Center in Kathmandu.

Software companies from India, Sri Lanka and South Korea and 50 software companies from Nepal will participate in the event, CAN President Biplavman Singh told reporters on Thursday.

The objective of the exhibition is to exchange information on the national and international software industry and take additional initiatives for software development and software promotion, he said.

Meanwhile, the meeting of the Computer Associations of Asia Pacific region will also be held in Kathmandu alongside, he said.
