China, ROK legislators hold regular meeting in Beijing
font size

Around 20 legislators from China and Republic of Korea (ROK) on Friday held a regular meeting in Beijing, touching on a wide range of bilateral and international issues.

The meeting was the second of its kind since the National People's Congress (NPC) of China and the ROK National Assembly forged a regular exchange mechanism last year in an effort to develop stronger parliamentary links.

Uyunqimg, vice chairwoman of the NPC Standing Committee, and Deputy Speaker of ROK National Assembly Lee Yong Hee co-chaired the half-day meeting.

The legislators exchanged views on China-ROK ties, parliamentary exchanges, trade and cultural cooperation and international and regional issues of common concern.

Their first meeting was held in Seoul last September.

The 11-person ROK delegation arrived in Beijing on Thursday. Their five-day visit will also take them to southwest China's Sichuan province.
