font size

Three U.S. marines have been killed in the western Iraqi province of Anbar during combat operations, the U.S. military said on Saturday in a statement.

The marines assigned to Multi-National Force-West died on Thursday while conducting combat operations in the volatile Anbar province, the brief military statement said without providing more details.

At least 90 American soldiers have died in Iraq so far this month.

More than 3,335 U.S. soldiers have been killed in Iraq since the U.S.-led war in Iraq broke out in March 2003, according to media count based on Pentagon figures.
