4 militants, 2 Afghan civilians killed in raidFour insurgents and two civilians were killed when the U.S.-led coalition forces raided a compound in Nangarhar province of eastern Afghanistan early Sunday, a coalition statement said. The forces conducted an operation in Bati Kot area to capture a suicide car bombing cell, the statement said. The troops received small arms fire as they were entering the compound and fought back, it said, adding four militants were killed. "An adult woman and a teenager were also killed in the crossfire between militants and coalition forces," the statement said, adding a young child and a female teenage were wounded. Coalition forces found multiple AK-47s, shotguns, chest racks with ammunition and explosives, according to the statement, which added an adult male was detained for questioning.
