font size

The Ministry of General Administration has recommended to increase salary and other allowances of the Nepali civil servant as per the recommendation of a commission, reported the website nepalnews.com Monday.

The Ministry recommended for the raise to the Prime Minister, Office of the Cabinet Secretariat and Finance Ministry as per the recommendation of the "National Pay Commission 2004".

The state minister level meeting approved the recommendation of the Commission and made the recommendation for rise in salary and other allowances of the civil servants.

The commission has decided that salary of the civil servants should be increased as per the change in their living standards, international influence and salary of other competitive areas.

There has been no review in the salaries of civil servants in Nepal since 2002.
