The Pak-China border pass will formally be reopened on May 1 for all kinds of traffic with the spring climate improvement, official sources said.
The official APP news agency quoted the sources as saying that the immigration and customs officials of both sides had resumed their duties at the border posts as preparations on both sides have been completed.
The border at the Khunjarab Pass usually closes on Dec. 31 due to heavy snowfall and reopens on May 1 under a protocol signed between the two countries.
The reopening of border will also help traders to resume their trade activities.
