AfghanistanA roadside bombing killed three policemen and injured two others in Muqar district of Ghazni province in central Afghanistan on Sunday morning, district chief Hajji Mohammad Aslam told Xinhua. A remote-controlled bomb targeted a police van protecting a road construction company at 7:30 a.m. (0300 GMT) in the district, killing three policemen and wounding two others, Aslam said. The police van was totally destroyed, he added. But he did not say the company was a foreign or an Afghan one. However, he said the company was building the road connecting Muqar to the eastern Paktika province. No groups or individuals have claimed responsibility.
