    Chinese Miss Universe arrives in Mexico

    On May 6, Chinese Miss Universe Zhang Ningning waved to a crowd of well-wishers in Tuxtla Gutierrez, capital of the southern Mexican state of Chiapas. Close to 80 contestants of 2007 Miss Universe arrived in Tuxtla Gutierrez that day to a warm welcome.

    Blast damages Ukraine gas pipeline

    Elements of pipe lying some 150 meters from the explosion site of a gas pipeline near the village of Luka, 150 km from Kiev, Ukraine. Russian gas supplies to Europe have been halted following an explosion in a major Ukraine natural pipeline, which destroyed a 30-meter section of pipe Monday.

    Bullet trains prove big holiday hit
