Tax revenue makes up about 95 percent of China's finance revenue

Tax revenue constitutes the main and the most normative form in the distribution of the national income, and it has had such compulsory, non-compensative and regular hallmarks, said Song Lan, deputy director of the State Administration of Taxation, noting that tax revenue makes up about 95 percent of the financial revenue and, hence, it represents the main source of the finance revenue.

Song Lan quoted by an "Economic Daily" report as saying that the State uses tax income to raise financial income through budget arrangements in an effort to support rural development, environment protection and ecological development, to promote education, science, culture and sanitations, to develop other social development undertakings, to be used for social benefits and social welfares, and to engage in traffic, water conservancy and other basic establishments, development of urban public utilities and the national defense construction. Moreover, it is used to carry out the administrative management of government, to perform the diplomatic activities, ensure the national security and satisfy the daily-growing material and cultural needs of the people.

It has been learned that the central budget has appropriated 339.7 billion yuan on agriculture, villages and peasant farmers' various expenditures and, to spur the development of the cause of education, the national finances arranged 475.27 billion yuan, including 53.6 billion yuan to pay for the central finances, and 184 billion yuan for rural compulsory education; and 131.16 billion yuan for medical and health work.
