Visiting U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney held talks in Abu Khabi with a senior official of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Friday and the two sides exchanged views over a series of issues of mutual concern.
Cheney and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, also explored prospects and ways of boosting bilateral cooperation for the benefit of the two friendly countries, according to UAE's official Emirates News Agency.
However, the report did not give any details about the content of the meeting.
Cheney arrived in the UAE on Thursday after a two-day surprise visit to Iraq in a new bid to press Iraqi leaders to double efforts to achieve reconciliation among rival factions.
UAE is the second leg of Cheney's Middle East tour, which will also take him to Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan.
