Nigerian president-elect visits Cameroon

Nigerian President-elect Umaru Yar'Adua arrived in Cameroonian capital of Yaounde Saturday for a courtesy visit, according to a statement issued by Cameroonian presidential office.

Yar'Adua will meet Cameroonian President Paul Biya in the presidential palace in Yaounde.

According to observers, the proceedings of the normalization of relations between Nigeria and Cameroon over the territorial disputes on Bakassi should be on top of the meeing between Yar'Adua and Biya.

After his election as Nigerian president on April 20, Yar'Adua has already visited Togo, Benin, Ghana and Senegal.
