font size

Chang Chun-hsiung has been named as the new head of Taiwan's "Executive Yuan", according to a local media report on Monday.

Chang, 69, has served as head of the Executive Yuan before, from October 2000 to February 2002.

He is also the chairman of the Taiwan-based Strait Exchange Foundation,an organization that takes charge of exchanges with the Chinese mainland.

The appointment of Chang as head of Taiwan's "Executive Yuan" comes after the shock resignation of Su Tseng-chang on May 12 -- the fifth head to quit in seven years. Su had served for less than 18 months.
