China's Forestry industrial output value exceeds 900 billion yuan

Lei Jiafu, deputy director general of the State Forestry Administration, said at a recent news conference of China's 3rd timber industry exposition at Mudanjiang, northeast China that the output of the China wood-based panels and dry and fresh fruit products had hit 63.8 million cubic meters and more than 90 million tons respectively, both ranking the global firsts; the country's furniture output had hit 130 million pieces, also the first place in the world. In 2006, the total output value of China's Forestry industry exceeded 900 billion yuan.
