Vietnam stock market index finishes higher

Vietnam's stock market index, VN- Index, closed at 1,066.56 points on Friday, up 6.77 points, or 0. 64 percent against Thursday.

A total of 6,509,690 stocks worth 768.325 billion Vietnamese dong (VND) (48.02 million U.S. dollars), including 5,535,620 shares valued 746.602 billion VND (46.67 million dollars), 6,050 bonds worth 908 billion VND (0.06 million dollars), and 968.020 investment fund certificates totaling 20.815 billion VND (1.30 million dollars) changed hands at the Ho Chi Minh City Securities Trading Center on Friday.

Vietnam currently has 107 kinds of listed shares, 367 kinds of listed bonds, mostly government bonds, and two listed investment funds totaling over 71,953 billion VND (nearly 4.5 billion dollars) .
