South Korea's LG Electronics Inc. announced Monday its plan to start mass production of large-sized plasma display panels in China next month.

LG has completed development of related technologies for PDP module production and will start production of the 32-inch PDP modules in Nanjing from next month, said the company.

LG Electronics recently reported that it will halt production at one of its plasma display panel (PDP) lines here in South Korea in a bid to lower costs.

LG posted a net loss of 122.6 billion won (132.5 million U.S. dollars) in the first quarter of this year.
