China has formally started its Mars probing program. The Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense held a seminar recently in Beijing to decide the organization responsible for the program as well as the chief engineer. Plans regarding different systems of the project were reviewed. It is learned that China will join hands with Russia to explore Mars in 2009.
