Mongolian PM meets Xinhua editor-in-chief

Mongolian Prime Minister Miegombyn Enkhbold said on Tuesday that the Xinhua News Agency has made significant contributions to the development of relations between Mongolia and China.

Enkhbold told visiting Editor-in-chief of Xinhua, Nan Zhenzhong, that his visit would further promote the development of bilateral ties and the ties between journalistic circles in the two countries.

As to bilateral ties, Enkhbold said one of Mongolia's principal foreign policies is to develop relations with China.

The two countries have established partnership of good-neighbourliness and mutual trust in recent years and the exchanges and cooperation between them in various fields have witnessed rapid progress, he added.

Mongolia values the development of the economic and trade cooperation with China very much. China is Mongolia's biggest investor and trade partner, said the prime minister.

There is broad prospect for the development of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of economy and trade, he added.

Mongolian Foreign Minister Nyama Enkhbold also met Nan on the same day.

Nan arrived in Ulan Bator on Monday for a three-day visit to Mongolia.
