font size

Leaders of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on Monday decided that Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee will meet in July.

The meeting, slated from July 4 to 7, will focus on the issues of building a resource efficient and environment-friendly society and promoting socialist culture.

Jia Qinglin, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, presided over Monday's meeting.

The CPPCC is a key mechanism for multi-party cooperation and political consultation under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and a significant aspect of the country's socialist democracy.
