Macao's jobless rate remains flat

Macao saw a 3.2-percent unemployment rate in the statistic term from February to April, keeping flat over the previous period from January to March, according to official statistics issued Monday.

The figures from the government-run Statistics and Census Service showed that the number of jobless residents seeking their first job was around 800, or 8.8 percent of the unemployed population from February to April, according to the statistics.

Macao's total labor force was estimated at 296,000 in the period, the figures showed.

The special administrative region has a population of 520,000.
