Chinese shares close higher on May 28

Chinese shares closed higher on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index closing up at 4,272.11 points, rising 2.21 percent or 92.33 points from the previous close.

The index, which tracks both yuan-denominated A shares and hard-currency B shares traded on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, closed at 4,179.78 points points on Friday.
