Chinese state councilor meets with French strategist

Chinese State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan met with President of the French Institute of International Relations Thierry de Montbrial, a famous European strategist, in Beijing on Tuesday.

Tang said the development of Sino-French relations has achieved positive outcome, and China attaches great importance to bilateral ties.

Tang expressed appreciation for France's stance on the one-China policy, and believed that Sino-French comprehensive strategic partnership will be further developed under the joint efforts of the both sides.

He hoped the research institutions of the two countries could further increase exchanges and promote mutual understanding so as to contribute to the development of Sino-French and Sino-European relationship.
