China's UN Ambassador, Wang Guangya (R), receives the Dag Hammarskjold medal on behalf of the late Chinese military observer Du Zhaoyu in New York, May 30, 2007. Du was killed on July 25, 2006 during an Israeli air raid on Lebanon. More than 100 peacekeepers who lost their lives in 2006 serving in UN peacekeeping operations worldwide were awarded the Dag Hammarskjold medals posthumously at the UN Headquarters on Wednesday.
