Chinese special envoy leaves Abuja for home

Chinese President Hu Jintao's special envoy Xu Jialu left Abuja to return home on Thursday morning after he attended the inauguration ceremony of Nigerian President Umaru Yar'Adua.

During his two-day stay, Yar'Adua and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo respectively met with Xu, who is also vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People 's Congress.

Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria Xu Jianguo and some Nigerian government officials went to Abuja airport to see off Xu and his delegation.
