Indonesian vice president to visit ChinaIndonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla Monday said good relations and cooperation between Indonesia and China should be continued. Kalla said this in an exclusive interview with Chinese Media at his office before starting a visit to China from June 6 to 10 with the main purpose of boosting economic cooperation between the two countries. During his visit, Kalla said that he was to meet some Chinese leaders and businessmen. The Vice president said that during his visit, he would visit agricultural regions in China and share the progress of the country in education. Besides, he said he expected China's high technology could be used in Indonesia, especially in exploration of the natural resources. He made an example of cooperation with a China's company in building a 10,000 megawatt electrical projects. In addition to political and economic relations, the cultural cooperation would also play an important role in boosting the ties of the two countries, said Kalla. "The cultural relation is also very important, including the exchanges of students and youths," he said. Indonesia has allowed schools to freely and officially teach Mandarin language recently.
