China intensifies punishment of power-for-money officials
font size

China issued new regulations on Friday to intensify the punishment of corrupt officials for their power-for-money misconducts.

Officials are prohibited from taking advantage of their posts to seek unlawful profits, the regulations from the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) of Communist Party of China said in harsh wording.

Those who do not correct their wrongdoings or commit misbehaviors after the release of the regulations will meet severe punishments, the CCDI stressed.
