font size

Han Qide, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress, met with an Indian youth delegation headed by Indian Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Mani Shankar Aiyar on Friday.

The delegation, consisting of one hundred Indian young government officials, entrepreneurs, artists, athletes, social workers and college students, will visit Chinese universities, rural areas, enterprises and communities.

They will attend exchange activities with Chinese students and personnel from other circles.

The visit is part of an exchange program proposed by Chinese President Hu Jintao during his visit to India in November last year. Hu proposed to invite 500 Indian youth to visit China within five years.
