Wall Street rebounded Friday after three days of sharp losses.

The Dow Jones industrial average rose 157.66 to 13,424.39. The Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 16.95 to 1,507.67, and the Nasdaq composite index rose 32.16 to 2,573.54.

The stocks plunged Thursday on inflationary pressures with the Dow Jones average declined about 200 points.

On Friday, the Commerce Department reported the trade deficit narrowed by 6.2 percent to 58.5 billion dollars in April, after widening to a six-month high of 63.9 billion dollars in March.
