Britain's Prince Harry at military base in Canada for pre-Afghanistan training: report
font size

Prince Harry is training at a British army base in Canada to prepare for a possible military deployment to Afghanistan, The Sunday Times reported.

The 22-year-old prince, who had been expected to deploy to southern Iraq, is at the British Army Training Unit Suffield, about 160 km southeast of Calgary in the Canadian province of Alberta to receive additional training in Scimitar armored reconnaissance vehicles.

The military would not comment on where the prince, third in line to the throne, was to be dispatched, but a month ago army chiefs ruled out the possibility of sending him to Iraq.
