Nepali PM scheduled to resume work on Sunday

Nepali Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala has recovered from eye and nerve-related problem and is scheduled to return to work on Sunday, local newspaper The Kathmandu Post reported.

Prime Minister Koirala's right eye had been swelling and causing pain in the temple nerves for the past three days.

"He is now all right and is resuming his normal political activities from Sunday," said Sujata Koirala, the prime minister's daughter, quoting by the newspaper.

Doctors have stopped giving Koirala painkiller since Friday. A CT-scan was conducted but no serious problem was found.

The prime minister had canceled all meetings including political consultations since Wednesday after returning to capital Kathmandu from a party rally in Jhapa, some 300 km east of the capital Kathmandu.
