font size

About 100 pieces of Chinese woodblock prints of the 20th century showcase in an exhibition opened in Amman Monday evening.

The print artworks, from the traditional prints "nianhua," which means pictures used in Chinese Spring Festival, in the early 1900s to the modern prints produced in recent years, are carefully selected from thousands of works.

Mayor of Greater Amman Municipality Omar Ma'ani said the one- week exhibition offers Jordanian people with a window to learn about the changing life of the Chinese people during the 20th century.

This exhibition will promote art exchanges between the two countries and enhance friendship between the people of the two countries, he said.
