Senior Chinese legislator Uyunqimg met with visiting Zimbabwean Defense Minister Sydney Sekeramayi on Friday, vowing to further push forward bilateral cooperation in military and other areas.
Appraising the remarkable progress of China-Zimbabwe cooperation over the years, Uyunqimg, vice-chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, said China is ready to make joint efforts with the southern African country to promote military exchanges and cooperation in other areas.
China highly appreciates the Zimbabwean government's firm adherence to the one-China policy, she said.
Sekeramayi said China has provided precious aid and support for his country during its national liberation war and peaceful development.
The Zimbabwean government will continue to adhere to the one-China policy, he added.
Invited by Chinese Defense Minister Cao Gangchuan, Sekeramayi is here on a week-long official visit.
