Run-off vote in France's new assembly open

The second round of France's legislative elections started on Sunday, with some 35 million registered voters beginning to choose deputies in the 467 constituencies where there was no winner in the first round a week ago.

President Nicolas Sarkozy's conservatives are expected to win a large majority to retain control of the National Assembly.
