HK's top commercial official to visit London

Hong Kong's top commercial official Joseph Wong will leave Hong Kong Tuesday night for London to officiate at a reception to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).

The reception, organized by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in London, will be held Wednesday night, according to a press statement from the HKSAR government.

During the visit, Wong, secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology of HKSAR government, will take the opportunity to meet a group of UK businessmen to brief them on the latest economic development and investment opportunities in Hong Kong.

He will also visit the Design Council and meet its Chief Executive David Kester, to exchange views on promoting the development of the design and innovation sectors.

Wong will leave London on Thursday and return to Hong Kong on Friday.
