Norway is ready to send more than 200 engineering troops to the Darfur region in Sudan, but they will probably not be deployed until late fall, reports reaching here said Tuesday.
Sudan has agreed to receive a UN-led peace keeping force in Darfur, Norwegian Broadcasting reported, quoting Undersecretary of State at the Defense Department, Espen Barth Eide, as saying.
The UN-led force will consist of at least 20,000 troops.
