Four Iranian passengers were killed and 40 others injured in a traffic accident in eastern Turkey on Thursday, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.
Local official Yemen Bayrak was quoted by Anatolia as saying that the tragedy occurred when an Iranian bus turned over near Gulizar village in Caldiran town of the border province of Van. The bus was on its way from Iran to Syria.
Bayrak said that three Iranian women and one child were killed and 40 other Iranians wounded in the accident.
The injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment, added Bayrak.
