font size

One of the largest U.S. private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. is planning an initial public offering (IPO), reports said Thursday.

KKR has hired Morgan Stanley and Citigroup as possible underwriters for the offering, according to the CNBC.

However, a person close to the firm said KKR may still decide against the IPO, reported Wall Street Journal internet edition.

Reports of a possible IPO for KKR came on the same day as its rival Blackstone Group announced the IPO at price of 31 dollars per common unit with the total value at 4.1 billion dollars.
