Oman's crude oil exports dropped about 10 percent in the first four months of 2007 to 74.6 million barrels from 82.9 million barrels in the same period of 2006, local newspaper Khaleej Times reported on Sunday.

According to the latest statistics released by Omani Ministry of National Economy, production of oil and condensates also declined by 5.8 percent to 85.7 million barrels in the first four months of the year, compared with 91 million barrels in the same period of 2006, the report said.

The average price for Omani oil was 56.89 U.S. dollars per barrel from January to April in 2007, 5.1 percent down from 59.93 dollars per barrel in 2006.

Oman, which is not a member of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), has a proven oil reserve of some 4.7 billion barrels.
