Pakistan's Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao left here Sunday for China on a four-day visit to discuss bilateral issues, especially cooperation in the field of security and counter-terrorism.
During his stay, Sherpao would hold meetings with his Chinese counterpart and other high officials including Public Security Minister Zhou Yongkang.
The issue of security measures for Chinese living and working in Pakistan would also come under discussion.
Talking to reporters at the airport before his departure, Sherpao said that China is a great friend of Pakistan and both the countries have multi-faceted relations including the close cooperation to counter terrorism.
He said that there are a large number of Chinese people and companies in Pakistan working for the development of Pakistan.
He said that the meeting of a working group to enhance the security cooperation between Pakistan and China would be held soon.
Sherpao was seen off by Chinese Ambassador Luo Zhaohui and other officials of the Interior Ministry at the airport.
