font size

Chinese and Philippine police have jointly cracked a major cross-border "ice" production and trafficking case, seizing nearly 10 tons of aether and acetone.

Aether and acetone are the major materials for producing methamphetamine hydrochloride whose popular name is "ice", a deadly addictive stimulant drug.

Liu Yuejin, vice director of the anti-drug bureau with the Ministry of Public Security, announced this on Monday, one day prior to the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking which falls on June 26.
